Default Nitrous was causing car to break up at higher RPM's, ran perfect before..why not now?

Nitrous on the street was kicking major *** and runnning perfect. went to the track last night on a fresh bottle, 950 PSI, 55-60 psi Fuel at WOT. (some say this is an issue)
First gear was fine, second when i would start hitting 7000 and above it would start breaking up and slowing down. It didnt ever backfire, it was like a really loud bogging, i was running open header. I forgot my damn plug wrench so i couldnt pull any plugs to see what was going on. Also, after the two runs i tried spraying, i smelt the strong odor of gas, which it never did that before, yes i checked for leaks already. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated. Only thing i can think of, is maybe the gas jet got clogged? I'l do some investigation shortly, thanks to all that help out!

runs perfect after i noticed the nitrous wasnt working properly. Drove 75 miles home fast and reliable. im gonna do a compression test on it today just so i know where everything is at. After i stopped useing nitrous for the night (which was after one run) i still managed a 13.7 and multiple 13.8's on motor afterwards...

Check to make sure the vacuum line is still on your fpr.. Had that happen once..

If thats good I would check your nitrous fuel jet just like you said..

i'm not to sure about you're situation...but we had a similar situation to where the nitrous wasn't working and we were just squeezing fuel into the car causing the car to bog...badly......

just my 2 cents though....maybe it might help

Although not the best idea.. You might want to try it again and check the plugs right after it happens..

yeah, quite possible the nitrous jet got clogged. I know once when i was completly out of nitrous and i accidently left the system armed, i floored it causing it to spray the fuel jet only and it bogged very similar to what happened to me last night.

As for trying it again and then pulling plugs,,, not keen on that idea. I'l check my jets to see if they are clogged and go over the whole system again.

Aslo, when i spray, the fuel pressure is 55psi under WOT,,, is that too high? any suggestions? ive been trying to research that, but couldnt find anything. I know you use the FPR to control fuel if your running lean or rich, but is there a set pressure that is recommended to start off with???
thanks for everyones help so far.

i dont think so, i used to spray a 125 DP with a stock Dx pump (flamesuit on)
Ive sprayed a full 10lbs through the system once flawlessly in all gears doing full 1/4 mile runs on the street, now on the second fresh bottle, it started this right away, im thinking something got in the nitrous feed line and clogged the nitrous jet... TO the garage i go!

What size fuel jet and nitrous jet are you running? Also what was the bottle pressure at?

interesting, so too much fuel is a bad thing. I'm running a fuel jet one size larger than the recommended for a 100 shot just to be a little rich and hopefully a little safer.

43nitrous 28gas I just took it out now(the car), it was acting all wierd as hell, nitrous comming on strong and then cutting out, maybe my WOT switch is FUBAR. i couldnt even get a solid 3rd gear pass, soo i have to wait till tomorow. 950 bottle pressure, 47psi fuel pressure. I pulled the intake tube off and took a gander on the inside for kicks and giggles and saw fuel chilling on the inside kinda thinking about downsizing the gas jet.. Also the plugs are a nice dark tan. so we'll see what brews tomorow when i go out testing...

k, so I discovered why my car had the same issue. Try pulling out the sump and checking if it feeds all the way down to the bottom corner. Mine was not, we slightly bent the feed show its just touching the inside of the tank and the problem went away.
