NOS direct port. misses when nitrous hits
I'm running a GSR motor 10:1 comp, Hondata S100, MSD digital 6 plus, 255lph high pressure fuel pump, bottle heater with the pressure at 1050psi, NGK BKR7E spark plugs, and NOS direct port kit 0443 with soft plume nozzles. Orginally was running 80 shot with 100 octane and timing retarded 3 degrees and the motor ran fine. Tried upping to 100 shot (23 nitrous and 16 fuel) 100 octane and timing retarded 4 degrees. Once the nitrous system is activated the car pulls but the power band from 5000-8000 rpm is choppy or misses every 100-200 rpm. We tried retarding the timing from 4,5, and even 6 degrees and still no dice. Thinking that the nitrous system was malfunctioning and that we had a spark miss. As a process of elimination we reinstalled the 80 shot jets in and the car ran and pulled fine when the nitrous system was activated. Anyone got any ideas to make the 100 shot work? Thanks in advance.

you may need to fine tune the gas jetting a bit, mine did this and i had to slightly alter the gas jet. also what are your plugs gapped at? i gapped mine at .028 on the 80

sounds like ignition is just having trouble keeping up with the extra cyl. pressure, I bet your misfire would clear up if you advanced the timing back to stock and go up one size fuel jet.
I have a similar problem going on with my talon, it's right on the edge of misfire on boost, when I spray on top (35 shot) it'll start missing.

You'd sputter too if you were drowning in fuel lol. 4 .023" nitrous jets are a lot closer to an 80hp tune than a 100hp tune. a .023/.016 jet combo is REALLY rich if you are anything near 40psi on the fuel side. What fuel pressure and nitrous pressure are you running?
Swap in some .014" fuel jets, get the bottle over 900psi and your probelm should go away. You will still be fairly rich but it should be a lot better.

Plugs are gapped at .030, fuel pressure is at 60 psi with the vacuum line disconnected. bottle pressure is at 1050 psi. I originally dyno'd the car with the 80 shot (22 nitrous and 14 fuel) and it ran lean and blew the ground electrode off. Swapped in 16 fuel and made several passes on the street and the car ran fine with the nitrous activated but the plugs indicated a rich. I figured that swapping the 22 to 23 nitrous jet would compensate for the 22 nitrous 16 fuel combo running on the rich side. Bump for more ideas.

It may be hitting dead lean for a split second, then goes rich after the initial hit. Ive experienced this with dp setups 100+ on a couple cars.

Shortening the lines between the fuel solenoid and nozzles or running a small delay device for a few hundreths of a second on the nitrous solenoid is the fix. ;-)
This is very common with single nozzle systems, especially as the line lengths between the noids and nozzle get longer.

Do you have any pics of the nitrous setup?
Also where does the nitrous system get its fuel from(off the rail, regulator ,etc)
The ground strap of the plug going away is a sign of detonation usually caused from to much timing, not necessarily a lean condition.
Is there any oil fumes being reintroduced into the intake(pcv system)? If so is it in the area of that cylinder?
Have you tried to pull more timing? Like 8 to 10 degrees.
