nitrous question
i have a Jdm Gsr from hmotorsonline, (10:6.1 compression). and i have a NX stage one wet kit, i have the 50 shot jets in right now, i have intake, header, exhaust skunk2 intake mani. fpr at 45psi, the bad thing is i have a chipped Ecu. will a 50 shot be safe even with the ecu? sprayed it like 2 times and ran great no detionation or anything. stock ngk-r plugs. thanks

Maybe he is a little worried about the advanced timing.
You shouldnt have a problem, but if you want to go with a bigger shot, you might want to retard the timing 2 degrees from the distr.

50 shot is really nothing. i ran a 55 shot on my b16/typeR with a spoon all motor ECU. i cant say its gonna be fine but the right thing to do is get the right chip.

there are only two ways to do this
1- figure out how much the chip advances over stock, and pull that much timing out at the dist+ whatever is recommended for that size shot when you want to spray
2- Get an EGT guage... and work your shot size up and monitor your EGT's ... if they start to climb then more octane, less nitrous, richer mixture or retarded timing.... if you're EGT's are safe and your a/f is good then you have some head room
other than that you will never get a real answer to your question.

if it were me i'd just get a stock ecu. the na gains from the ecu are def not worth the possibility of a popped motor imo. advanced timing+nitrous is just not smart, why risk it.
