Default juicing on a chipped ecu

will running nitrous on a chipped ecu cause the motor to detonate due to timing and fuel changes on the chip?

depends on what you mean by chipped ecu.... If you are refering to the mugen chipped ecu's made for NA cars then yes.

I mean if someone chips my ecu right now with chrome or uberdata to play with the vtec engagements and make more out of the engine nasturally aspirated....and then now I spray nitrous with this ecu...will it affect anything

ive run nitrous on generic ecu's and chrome chipped ecu's(even up to 11.5ish compresssion on pr3 pistons) and i never ever detonated on super unleaded...so i would say imho go for it

A chipped ECU setup for uberdata/chrome /hondata simply means you can change the maps if you want. Follow the instructions which came with your nitrous kit or get it tuned on the dyno professionally.

im sure there could be some risk of detonation... like if u adjjusted the timing to advance it.... or other things like spraying in too much fuel and not enough NOS... could be alot of factors i think but i could be wrong... just get it tuned right by someone who knows how to tune crome for nos applications and you should be ok. like the other guy said tho... if u run a chipped ecu made for NA, then you might be fukked... good luck
