nitrous with boost?
I was wandering if I could run a 35 shot or so on a stock block at10 psi vortech. It looses assloads of power in hot humid wheather.... so wacha think? Will it kill it instantly or will the cooling effect make it **** and get?
Most people run nitrous on their boosted cars to help with turbo lag. You have lag, but I dont think nitrous will alleviate it because of the type of blower it is. Im not sure to be honest, but in either case, you would want to run a boost pressure switch that turns off the nitrous at a given PSI. Boost and nitrous will send your cylinder pressures sky high, which wont be friendly with stock internals. Do you have the aftercooler?
Yeah, its aftercooled. The lag isn't a big problem because it gives some time to hook. I mostly notice about 3mph slower in the 8th mile and about 3-4 tenths.
How many psi should I cut it off ?? I have a rpm window switch that would let me turn it on at say 5500 and cut it off at say 7500 just to make the power curve of the vortech look more "NORMAL"..
no nitrous,do propane injection, get a hobbs switch to turn the propane on at 3-4 psi,it will do wonders and its like having race gas on demand, cost ya $3 a month or even less.
