Default Nitrous and back pressure

I know there is a range of back pressure needed for any appl, but does anyone know if removing the muffler at the track will net a faster time?
Setup:GSR w/ CTR cams, I/E, 55shot of Nitrous

TIA, -C

I dont think a 55 shot is gonna benefit that much from no muffler.. but if you were to say drop in the 200 jets.. hmmmmmm

Yeah, I'd run thw 1/8 mile in about 4 seconds@90 mph, but then run the 1/4 in 20 sec at 14mph.

I might put the 65 jets in just to see what the difference is. -C

I ran a 75shot wet kit, just like a couple others on this forum, for about a year with no problems, just have to use it spareingly. I think in that year i used maybe 5 bottles, and one of them leaked out because I didn't close the bottle tight enough.

if you get enough fuel a 75 should be ok, just dont forget those colder plugs which you probably already have...

as far as times.. haha... I noticed a difference, but the nitorus wasn't nice to me by making my wheel spin half way down the track.. LOL

yeah, I'm running the ZEX plugs now.

First install a month ago was a disaster caused by
1.) a defective box which was replaced by ZEX
2.) Missing nitrous jet after re-installation before first run
3.) shitty champion plugs that shattered in pieces

Thank god for warranty, lol.

anyway, yeah I think V-afc, FPR, ZEX plugs and MSD switch to kill the Nitrous at 8K is pretty safe enough. It's just a boost for me, not a crutch. I still plan on making power elsewhere, then sell it all for a Drag III (or buy a Supra TT if I can find a STOCK one). -C <A HREF="http://AbsoluteVtec.websitegalaxy.com/avtsleeper.html

man don't run those zex plugs. my friend and i both have 2k gsr's and we bought the zex kit together with the same plugs... the same day the plugs went bad on him and he detonated. when i went to check mine.... guess what? they were in the process of detonation. run ngk's.

what do you mean by in the process of detonation? either you detonate or you don't. it's an action that occurs instantly not "in the procces of." I acutally like the plugs. the electrode are really short which is good because the other types (including NGK) have long electrodes that start to turn into glow plugs that cause detonation. I hope you are running at least 2 steps colder on your ngk's. -C

GSRwBoost:

Would you say your turbo at 7psi of boost felt faster than your Nitrous at a 75 shot? I'm kinda feeling like this isn't enough power (I know I have a small shot right now). -C

Denso plugs are cool but I perfer NGK, I had a set of denso plugs in my zc and when I would squeeze the motor would knock and run like **** I changed them out for some NGK plugs and the problem was solved, it could of been a bad plug but I have never had problems with NGK's
