Nippon pistons?
anyone ever used these?
i know not what i want but i have a block laying around i want to put the car back together atleast at low boost so i can cruis it around again.
any thoughts

China, but they won't be any better than stock. The only strong cast pistons you'll find are for the D16 (Vitaras).
One thing you can get are forged pistons made for stock rods. They are in the classifieds one in a while, or you can buy them new. They have to be specially made for press-fit wrist pins. Otherwise you need to hone the rod's small end for the more common floating wrist pins. I recall seeing a lightly used set for ~$250 ($150+rings), simply press onto you stock rods.
The problem is the level of work required to get that far. For an extra $400 you can get new rods & bearings, and be set for a lot more power.
