This was a hondata rom. Some of the rom is stock, like the locations of sensors where they are just toggle on and off. The routine that control the heated O2 sensor was in a segment that is encoded for copy protection...

Raene, that is not even close to how an O2 sensor works. See my wideband thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=635792

Thanks to Phiz, we figured out the problem. Use a stock base map for hex editing.

Ahh... NVM. I don't really care one way or the other. But thanks for the link.

BTW, if anyone wants to pass along another suggestion to Blake on the next version of Uberdata (if there is another version coming out)..

One of the things I about Uberdata is that you can open multiple Uberdata windows and use them to compare maps, side-by-side. So it'd be nice if the currently open file name was displayed in the title bar or status bar of the app to keep things straight.

does anyone notice the TPS enrichment does not work?

no matter how many times i i change the value and hit apply and save the BIN. when i re-open the file again it's back at 100%

is that because the option is not available on version 1.2 yet?

anyone else experience this?

It works, it just wont save the position of the adjuster in the program, but it does save the selected value. It works.

interesting. Sam - do notify me of the next uberdata update. I have been acting rather nerdy recently and studied the current uberdata release.

I look forward to it!
Any hints? Teasers?
A direct question, will the Cold Crank Enrichment function work in the next version?

A couple of questions, I just read like the first 10 pages, but I can't read it anymore, because it's alot of people asking questions about their specific setups. Is there any info in the next 20+pages worth reading for an uberdata Noob? or mostly specific questions...also, where in the world do I get the .bin file from? I'm sure this is a dumb question, but hey, I can't find it anywhere. Also, when is a new version coming, and who do I paypal some support $$ to ?
Thanks,
~james

the reason the thread keeps getting bigger and bigger is becuz half the posts are people asking if they should read the rest of the threads, or ask questions that have been answered already. it just makes thread bigger and harder for newbies, its time to start a uberdata.com zero forum How much is it to start up a zero forum account?

I found the .bin files and messed around with the program for a while...good stuff. Thanks to everyone who's doing this, and again I'll ask about the support money. I'd be glad to help out, also there was talk of a "premium version" when you donate a certain amount, as well as a new version being released soon, any clarification on this stuff?
Thanks again,
~james

that's not really clarification, I was hoping to find out, if there are different versions based on donation, as well as when the new version is coming out, and if there is a premium, and I donate now and get it, then a new version comes out, is the update to the new premium free..
mainly I'm looking for a few key additions, most of which are in the version i have now, they're just not active (i.e. different MAP sensors, Cold Crank Adj, Datalogging, etc..) Anyways, I'll just keep checking in on this thread for info. Thanks,
~james

The donation will normally net you the 3BAR version of the software. But donating is not designed to give you a better version, it is designed to help the further development of uberdata. Getting the free upgrade is just kind of a side note. Keep that in mind, and dont be afraid to learn this program and help us answer some of these newb questions I am a firm believer that one should help out before they ask for help

I very much want to help out. I hope that my contribution will make a difference, and I am inexplicably appreciative that people are doing this. It's nice every once and a while to see there still are people out there doing things for other people without immediately wanting something in return. That's what it's all about.
I am interested in finding out about the datalogging, cold crank, 3D maps, etc.. I'm sure the tabs weren't put in there just to taunt me. Anyways I'll wait patiently

On a side note If I was capable of helping people out, why would I need to ask for help?
That said, I've been spending a bunch of time in the program today, and I have a question.
What is the VTEC de-activation RPM input needed for? I was under the impression that VTEC was de-activated whenever you were off full throttle, if that is the case, what do you need a de-activation value for? I know this is a confusing question, but I'm just wondering why it's given as an option.

incorrect, vtec is dissabled below a certain RPM and activated at a givven rpm, thus the box is used to set your vtec parameters. Honestly If you read everything in this thread about the program, most questions will be answered. I dont mind helping though, just wanted to point that out. Side note if you have a non vtec motor, just set both at the same RPM.

so your saying if your partial or off throttle, but above the activation RPM, VTEC is still active? I'm almost positive that if you ride part throttle about the VTEC rpm, it does not activate, but what do I know

Not confusing at all, yuor motor stays in vtec after you lift the throttle, like this

5600rpm ---goes into vtec
5599rpm still in vtec
stays in vtec till the given rpm.
that way if your are out of the gas (corner o something) and then get back into it, you will still be in the P0Wah o VteC y0'
didnt think that I expliand it well the first time

15% throttle is the given point I think, will not activate if you are in it less than that.
