Im thinking of springing for a turbo kit thats like 3k.... but my question is will i need anything else? it comes with all the piping and intercooler n stuff. will i just need the exhaust manifold for it? i hear a lot of people replace the con. rods to handle the new compression?

fuel management ( emanage, crome, aem, aem fic)


if you're buying a kit, it " should" come with everything you need.

broad answer for a broad question


if you're going to build the motor, its much more than aftermarket rods , youll need pistons, motor macining etcc.


a basic turbo kit at low boost is really all you need to start off. first off. what kit are yo interested in buying.

thanks a lot exactly the answer i needed. uhhh well one of the kits i saw thats in my price range is a Borg warner gm-8 turbo.. its a "kit" so it comes with alot of stuffs.. haha but assuming the kit comes with everything u mentioned do u have to build the engine too? or is that optional for reliabilitty?

The kit needs to be specific to your engine/chassis application....

sounds like whatever kit you're buying is someone elses pieced together kit because there no kits on the market that comes with the GM-8 turbo
