Default the new SRT-4 ?'s

now we dont have any in stock yet cuz we still have to go thru the rest of our training to able to sell them

now other than saying oh well its still a neon or it sucks cuz its a domestic or other ignorant comments what do you guys really think of this car

personally i think its going to be one of the hottest thing to hit the scene since gasoline, very affordable price and will leave a lot of room to upgrade for pretty short money as well

one of the perks is i can buy a dodge for below invoice, and if you think CR lets you know what invoice is then i have a bridge to sell you because theres still money behind invoice, substantial money and i could get into one of these cars cheap with a 70K beat it to hell warranty on the motor

i still plan on building up and keeping the integra as well

Its deffinatly the best car for under 20k. I'm always messing with my roommate that he is going to get walked by one in his S2000. I have even thought about getting one as a daily driver but I just hate the way it looks. The performance per $$ is almost enough to get me to look past it but I just couldn't own one.

more like 10k plus...

they actually look mean in person, and dodge has a performance package that gives it 300 at the crank, but they overrate their power ratings so you never know how much it really has... and an lsd

It looks like butt, but the performance of the car is pretty incredible. Saying that, I dont think i could ever own a new car after building so many civics over the last few years. Honda's are cheap, reliable and fast and you dont have to pick two. If you leave them stock, they will go for ages. Even FI, with the car properly set-up stock block they will run for a long time. It will be fun having another fast car to toy with on the streets, wrx's are getting boring.

When a car is rated at 215hp, and dynos at 225, something is definitely awry. But in a good way.

the version in SCC is not the version you guys are gonna be seeing...They're gonna have like 10 catalytic converters and lower boost...from what dealers have told me.

BUt I like it none the less...it's right in the 20-22k range though. For that price, I'd get an accord

i guarantee that these neons will have problems in relation to build quality issues ...that's just the way neons are made...plus the fact that it is a *brand new* model and would you rather drive a dogde neon or a honda....personally i'll stick with my honda...it's better looking in my opinion and it will be faster....so there you go

would you want one over your honda?

I really am not a fan of the neon's looks, but no one can argue it's performance is well worth it. For under 20k nothing even comes close to its 1/4 mile times 14.2@99 Stock. Think of the much more expensive cars this is faster than in stock form (rsx type-s, s2k, wrx, tl type-s, 350z, rx-8) the only downside is it still looks like a neon. I know the neon of the past were piece of ***** so if this one can hold together it is well worth it

Automobile - 14.0@100
Car & Driver - 14.2 @ 100
SCC - 14.1 @ 99 (Best run)
Mopar Performance - 13.8 @ ??

Not bad for a Stock FWD Car.

I agree with most of you. Its still a neon. But i can tell you one thing. I dont care what kind of car you have, If it runs i respect it, and I think this one is going to run. My friend is getting one of the first ones since his grandfather works at the delaership for like 20 years. I'm goign to go out on a limb and say that i will be able to get that car to run 11's all day long withing 30 days of him having it. It may take a gang of spray but its a cast iron 8 or 8.5:1 compression block. Hopefully it doent have problems but we will find out. thats what warranty is for right??

i'd rather get one with a blown engine, and rebuilt it to my specs. With a nice hybrid turbo and a good EIC

I myself do not beleive they are going to put down 225 to the wheel out of the box. I think they paid off sport compact for that article. just my opinion!!!

i've read that the neon has a computer that changes boost to meet a particluar hp output. Hot day = more boost, cold day = less boost, high altitude = more boost, etc. How it figures out put I don't know. I assume it's got maps for altitude and temp compensation relative to boost. Pretty cool setup, but i wonder how it will take to upgrades?

Then they paid off 4 magazines. Because all of them ran great times.
Grant it SCC was the only mag to dyno it.

my point was the dyno only. at 205 to the wheels the car could pull 14.2 also.

and it's a neon. a neon........

but hey it's fast. i'd never own one, but it's got my respect.
