new car d16y8 turbo stuttered and stalled out HELP please
so i just got my civic today its a d16y8 with a turbo on it and the hack running as a fuel management unit (so DSM 450 injectors and Vafc)
now it was running great until i hit a bump and the AFC shut off
the kid that put it in did a shitty job so i need to re wire
so it was off so i was driving home and the car stutterd a few times and back fired a lil bit then shut off
i let it cool down a bit fired it back up and it stutterd a few and then ran smooth all the way home
could this be from the AFC not being on or what happend
im kinda weary cause i just got the car
and now its actiing up
any help is appreciated thanks!

I just thought of that.. If your vafc isnt running then your boosting with no fuel management.. Thats bad..

if your afc isn't on then your gonna be running super rich because of those large injectors, there will be no way to control your fuel once in boost, and your car will go into limp mode because it will see positive manifold pressure and not know what to do. I suggest not driving your car unless the afc is on .

if the vafc is not working you wont even be able to idle the car much less begin boosting successfully.
re wire it asap
