New To Boost
I just got my Rev Hard Stage 2 turbo kit in my GS-R, how much boost is safe assuming the engine is in good condition? and I'll have to get new injectors before I get the car dyno and tune, right? I've tried to get on boost once, but when I pushing the gas pedal hard, the exhaust go like popping sound.. I think its Detonation, sonds like the injector is mixing up or something.. whats the most extra parts I have to buy to safe boosting the car?
P.S: the motor is bone stock.

boost - 7-8 pound daily
I don't know what comes w/ the kit. if it is a complete kit, it come with some kind fuel system / injectors comes.
get some gauages to ensure your car isn't running lean.

don't hit any boost w/o a proper fuel system or else your motor is gona
a set injectors and a greddy e-manage and get it tune out for the fuel problem
also get a boost gauage

Re: New To Boost (STL01Civic-T)
I have hondata S200 with boost options, I was gonna get the car dyno and tune. but the guy whos gonna tune my car said its not worth dyno and tune the car if I have stock fuel injector. so he told me to buy new fuel injecotors before dyno and tune.
of course I have boost gauge. I running 7Psi right now.. I only get on boost once. around like 6000RPM and I let off the gas. coz the popping sound..

I'd recommend you going a little higher and tuning it down w/ the hondata. The reason is that if u later decide to up the boost you won;t have to rebuy new injectors to accomodate the increase

it depends on what ur intentions are later on. 440cc are good up too 300 maybe a little more. but if u decide u want more then u will need to upgrade ur injectors.
550 or 680 are good

as long as they arent DSM 680's. the car will not idle right with hondata. rc has 650 saturated injectors that should idle it fiine. i had to learn that one the hard way.

yea he's right i got my rc #'s mixed, you should stay away from dsm injectors according to some h-t members due to the idle issues they had

Re: New To Boost (Wayne99-Turbo GS-R)
my advice would be dont get into boost until its tuned. i mean u can drive it around with your turbo on just stay outa boost. install new fuel pump and injectors and get it tuned as soon as possible. i have a turbo gsr in my civic with rc 550's and seeing 290whp at 9 psi. next summer im gonna upgrade internals and up the boost so i kinda wish i'd have bought bigger injectors..... its all ur decision i bought mine brand new in the classified section for $200.
and ya when u hit boost that one time u were definetly leaning out which is real bad on ur pistons.

Re: New To Boost (Wayne99-Turbo GS-R)
i just paid 330 shipped for 650's but i get a deal through the shop i work for, we deal with hondata, but thats actually a good price. unfortunately, i have outgrown the 650's already and ordered a set of 750's. but thats a good price. doing it right sometimes costs a little cash.

Re: New To Boost (boostedcivicsir)
TAKE TOO MUCH DAMN MONEY TO SUPPORT A TURBO RUNNING RIGHT.
so I'm thinking I'm gonna pull the turbo kit out and sell it back to N/A. because I don't really have any extra money for the turbo anymore...
and my car can't even start up now... don't know whats wrong with it???
