Default need some guidance ...

since this del sol will be my last project (before i buy myself a ford taurus and call it quits), i'm in need of guidance. i've been searching/reading for about 3 months and i have a couple of questions, but let me start out by saying i appreciate any suggestions/criticism posted.

can a b18b1 run completely STOCK (at the crank) 250hp (6-7 lbs of boost) reliably? if not, what would have to be upgraded? i plan on forged rods/pistons but is there anything else i need to worry about? and if i was do downshift at high RPMS will this boosted motor blow?

and finally... how much am i looking on spending? turbo kit including a good fuel managment system. thanks again

there are 2 ways of doing the turbo. a kit and piece together. with the latter being cheaper, but the first being easier. i am pulling numbers out of my *** on this, 2500-3000 for a drag kit, and uberdata is free. get a good walbro pump for 180 and some dsm 450's and plan on spending about 400+- for a good tune and your goal should be attainable reliably. it is all in the tuning.

i'm kind of looking for the cheaper route. ie: a custom turbo kit pieced together and i'm kind of looking towards hondata instead of the uber.
