nooob to FI, give me alittle advice on this if you can
okay, i have a 94 del sol with a b16 swap. I've been wanting alittle extra "boost" in performance, but at the same time keeping an easy to maintain and daily driven car while still being reliable without breaking my wallet toooo extremely. I've been eyeing the edelbrock performance x turbo kit. I've read alot, and it seems that if i purchase this kit, its a pretty simple thing to do, it says i wouldnt need to purchase any other parts for it to work and run fine, it even says as long as its being ran on a stock motor, then no tuning is necessary. is this all true? or have i been led a stray?
Im just here to ask opinions on this kit, hopefully someone who has actually had expierence with this exact kit will come across this post and reply with helpful information.
if anybody knows of any major downfalls to this route, please inform me.
any help or comments are appreciated.

Re: (tony413)
whoa whoa. i was thinking 250 to 280 tops. I want to be able to run it on stock internals for awhile before i move up. I dont really know enough about turbos to piece together a whole kit first. This will be a first time for me, so i was looking for something safe, to gain alittle knowledge on, and then later build up and do bigger better things.

ok well 250-280 should be a breeze.
just look on turbo-kits.com
BUT you will need an engine management system that you will need to search on as there is a lot and at varing prices. also a set of 310cc or better fuel injectors.

280hp is not going to happen on 310's. get 550's at least. you can get new one from TT (http://TunerToys.com) for like 219, and they are the best fitting injectors out there.

Re: (ndogg)
the comments and advice are appreciated, but like i said, im new to the turbo deal and i dont trust myself enough to piece together a kit. I want it to be done right, and i dont want to blow anything up in 3 weeks. Im not exactly working with a **** ton of cash. i understand that the kits are alittle more expensive then piecing one together but it just makes it that much more easy.
and from what i've read this kit includes EVERYTHING necessary.

neh it hink the 440s are rated for 300.. thats almost maxing it out already. I would go with the 550s as well for future upgrade. The cost is the same and with a good tune you will still get a good gas milage
