Default need info from experience

I'm about to boost my b18b for the first time. I already have a turbonetics delta gate2 wastegate. I've heard bad things about it. Honestly should I be fine with it or should I go spend another 275.00 on a tial? Another question I had the oppurtunity to buy a very clean low mileage turbonetics t3 super 60trim. I've heard that a real super 60 t3 is rare. I looked up the numbers an its real. So that's what I plan to use. Is it too big for my stock ls? Will I lag a lot? I'm gona use a ramhorn manifold. Thanks for any help

My friends have used the deltagate 2 and it blew both of their engines. It gives huge boost spikes. They went to tial or turbosmart and they have had no problems. Go tial, spend the extra money, and make sure your safe. You don't want anything to go wrong. You can get a real tial 38mm for like $220-$240 off ebay brand new. That'll save you a few bucks. There are ones on there that are used for $150 too.

super 60, which i believe is what you are referring to, isnt rare, or big. quite the opposite actually.

you can find used tials all around for like 150

Ya the turbos aren't actually that big. There is a lot of info on these turbos on the h-t you just have to search for em.

i run the same turbo on my d16 vitara/eagle setup
running 14psi and only 12* timing i can GUESS i was making 150-160whp
as for LAG, there was obviously some. i never hit full boost until vtec (4800rpm about 11psi, 5000rpm 13.9psi)
comparing it to something like a t28 is big, but otherwise...no.
good turbo, i plan to make 230-250whp next season and itll handle it no problem

AS for a wastegate, run a tial 38mm because its DIRT CHEAP and reliable. I picked mine up for $140 used w/ a 14psi and 6.8psi spring... great gate...the sweet smell of a wide open gate mmm.....****ING WINTER GAH canada...
