Default Need HELP identifying this turbo!?

The guy selling it says its a t3/t4 looks like a t4/t3. Its also been rebuilt at turbonetics. The turbine looks like a divided housing and has no adaptor for the downpipe and is freakin hugenous!! Any info for this turbo would be appreciated

Thats a tricky one....

Im not the best at identifying turbos but a few things come into mind when seeing that...

-It looks ******* huge
-The compressor cover bends a little by the outlet like a mitsubishi turbo would, doesnt look like my t3/to4e
-It has divided exhaust housing for spoolup, also common for mitsu's
-Doesnt look like their is room to connect a downpipe v band style

In conclusion I have no idea at all. But that thing looks wacked.

thats a straight t04...

the turbine housing is at least 1.00 and its way too big to ever be used on a honda...

its got a v-band discharge, looks to be 3"
if oyu could swap out the turbine housing for something like a .58, you could use that on a honda

Yeah I thought that turbine housing was hella big. So if I wanted to keep this I would need to change the turbine housing or the whole turbine?

the housing... find out what trim the turbine wheel is.
get him to read the numbers off of the compressor backplate and then call whoever made the turbo and give them the numbers

its not a t3 compressor, its a straight t4 turbo. t4 turbine, t4 compressor.

defintiely a t4 turbo you can easily tell by the inlet on it.

However the method to deteriming a turbo is to measure the inducer on the wheel and the exducer on it. If you can measure the wheel it will be some what easy to match it up to a spec sheet.

i wouldn't bother buyin it.. after replacing parts to get it to work for your app.. you could have just bought a brand new turbo that would be perfect for ur app.
