Re: help me identify this turbo (HybridcivicLS-T)
looks like its off an old saab or volvo judging from the downpipe thingy. Not worth paying anything for imo

I wouldnt be surprised if it was a T25 like said above

the turbo is NOT a t25..
i had the SAME one on my last b16 turbo setup

I dont think you are correct. ive never ever seen a .42/.48 with that type of elbow/internal gate.
.42/.48 T3's have turbine sides looking like this

Re: (b18b1hmtlove)
measuring the flange could be usefull. A T3 flanged turbine lnlet measures about 1 3/4" X 2 5/16". It looks like one to me. look inside the turbine inlet and kind of scrape the sides to see if there is an A/R stamp that is covered by rust. The compressor cover A/R should be stamped inside the outlet.
If it's a T3 that is in good shape then definatly listen to ledgendboy. I buy lots of shitty T3s. Your far better off with the H-T junkyard ****, the DSM T25. Pay more get less. yay T25 cheap T3

you may very well be correct, the thing that is confusing me is the wastegate on the original posted turbo looks like a t3 wastegate and not like the conventional t25 wastegate..however the fins look like a t25.
thanks for the pic,
mike

The best way to shutup the guesstimators is look for cast markings and measure the blades. What is stamped inside of the exhaust housing inlet? What is stamped inside of the compressor housing outlet?
There ARE many types of swing valve exhaust housings floating around so it is easy to make assumptions when very little info is provided.
It looks like an AiResearch To4B or T3 to me but I am just guesstimating like everybody else.

in the coldwheel it says .42, on the manifold it says .46 or .48, can't really read it.
