need help with egt guage readings
i need to know what can affect egt readings....here's my set-up
crx w/zc motor
greddy kit @5psi currently
i have the ignition retarded about 2-3deg. btdc
autometer pyrometer(egt) guage
and my egt probe is mounted in the manifold about 2inch from the 3rd runner
...now does having it retarded making it run hotter or does advancing it..
i was crusing on the interstate and i was borderline @ 1500 just normal driving not even in boost... around 80mph......is this wrong i heard 1550 was too much and i was almost there just in normal driving....what are some things that i can try to correct this problem
