Default need help on boosted d16

i am wondering a few things:

1. will my stock d16z6 tranny hold up under boost. (between 8-16 pounds boost, sometimes 20). fully built motor BTW.

2. what kind of power can the stock sleeves of a d series hold. i have je 9:1 pistons and eagle rods, no aftermarket sleeves.

thanks for any and all help guys. dont know what i would do without HT.

1) probably not :D

2) post the block, you'll crack the sleeves if they're not reinforced.

I'm fixing to build my D16A6 with a Z6 head; posted block; forged rods/pistons; etc.

1. Yes, upgrade teh clutch and if your a baller pickup a LSD

2. The stock sleeves should be able to handle more than your can throw at it, with good tuning they can be pushed VERY far...im not a fan of posting.

i should have been more specicific, my fault. anyway i just wanna know what the stock tranny can take for now. I plan on getting a clutch as soon as i get the car. the car is already boosted @ 9 psi, any recommendations on a clutch. also, i plan on getting a quaife lsd eventually. i have just heard that the stock trans breaks when boosted. just trying to learn about the d16. thanks for the input so far guys.

stock tranny and act hdss is an awesome combo!!

Sleeves will hold a good amount of power with stock revs and consistant tuning and detonation detection.....my .2 cents

the D series trannies hold pretty good
they start breaking when the ricers dont know how to shift, and just shift too hard
remember the shift forks are made out of aluminum and a lof of strenght can break them if u dont shift properly
IMO shift smoothly, ur boosted now!!!! no need to kill urself to shift in 0.005 seconds over 0.5 seconds
and please do this
DO NOT HOLD ANY GEARS DOWN AFTER SHIFTING
what i mean is when people leave their hands on the **** after shifting into 2nd (for ex)
that put more streess and wear on the fork since its against a gear

drive good= parts behave good
