Default Resleeving and boring out a D16...

OK, so I've decided to resleeve my D16 to handle more boost... Stock bore is 75mm, I think I read here that the max is 78 or 79mm on the resleeve? What's best, and what works well reliably?

81 mm (B series size) has been done before on a race motor

But with boost 76-77 is the max

I have a quote from http://www.goldeneaglemfg.com for 1300 to sleeve and bore to 79mm with custom pistons. However they said it "can" be done.

I would go with 78mm no more for N/A.

Super! Great, thanks for all the input!

I've decided to go w/ no blockguard, resleeve, to just 75.5mm.

How weak are the stock sleeves on the D16Z6? I want to go .5 over JE's and eagle rods but only plan on running 12psi max and usually 8-10 daily. Do I need to resleeve?

Nope.

Problem w/ me is that... well, I intend to go 10-12 daily and 15 max, but I know I'll want more at some point...
