MSD Pro Billet Distributor
Exactly like the instructions on my website, except you change one number in the configuration if you're running an EMS. The trigger won't work with the honda ecu though.
have used a couple and dont have any complaints at all. i wish every one of my honda customers would buy one of these if they are gonna stay with the dizzy setup

the msd dizzy.
the t1 trigger kit is a great product, its perfect for the person/shop that dosent have the ability to build one of these units themselves. we have used this type of trigger system many times in the past with great success and know tony well and know that he wont put his name on anything other then something that works %110 perfect.

We have installed about 20 of these dizzys with only 3 issues:
1.) Rotor was not secure and screws fell out and well dizzy went boom ( we lock tight them now).
2.) THE BIG ONE This Dizzy hates 11,000 red line!! Tried For Weeks to get an answer and no one calls us back.
3.) THE SUPER BIG ONE 6305 is on back order everywhere and MSD can not explain why the have tons of dizzys and coils instock but no 6305.

I just had a car come in today with that MSD Distributor, and with a Hondata...the Stock Tach screws up at 6000rpm...but with the Stock ECU in there..works fine.
Weird huh? Anyone with any Ideas? Or had the Same Problem?

Referrenced from summitracing.com
MSD Blaster SC Ignition Coils - Part # MSD-8235 - $54.88
MSD SCI/SCI-L CD Ignitions - Part # MSD-6305 - $68.88

If you are an obdII motor? Where is the harness?
Everything is there, just plug it up and go?

All the parts you need is shown in the pics on my first post of this topic:
- Blaster SC Coil PN 8235 (recommended) or Blaster SS Coil PN 8207
- Ignition Module PN 6305
- MSD Pro Billet Distributor PN 8488
Everything is plug and play for an OBD-II harness. I had to rewire the plugs to make it work for my OBD-I harness as stated on my first post

I am an AEM EMS user... Somehow I tend to believe that MSD made this distributor just for the AEM folks because quite frankly, it fixes all the little issues that AEM used to have on the factory dizzy...lol (slow stat-sync, low idling issues, 8500+ RPM timing errors). No problems at all up to date

But I do need to send my ems to AEM to put in a resistor right?
Thanks for the update.

hey tony,
did you have start up issues with your ems? I have had them... but they seemed to have left me alone for now?
In your orig post you stated " start up right away", were you referring to this as you had start up issues with the OEM ignition??
Btw, i got Ultimate racing to tune my car and they told me for somer reason the EMS does that to the OBD1 cars.? I'm running OBDI just like you. I'm running stock ignition on my boosted R, everything is fine except start up? It usually either takes a couple cranks/ or WOT and the turn of a key.
I also got an msd pro cap or something.. i don't remember i used it on my old set up. Few of my friends had issues with MSD products in the past so i ripped it off...
ideas on start up?

There's no need for a resistor change... the MSD's Pro Billet hall effect signal is somehow converted to be compatible with stock Honda ECU; that means no changes are necessary with the AEM either

Your problem sounds more like a fuel issue during cranking... If you need to touch the throttle to start the car, it is probably too much fuel. The problem directly relates to weather and temperature, so it's temporarily gone probably because from different weather.
The problem I have is slow stat-sync which is a delayed signal from the cam pickup signal. I had this problem with the OEM dizzy especially on hot starts, but the problem immediately dissappeared after the MSD Pro Billet.
