It's so odd that the US folks are having backorder problems on the ignition module. Up here in Canada, there is like 3-4 units just hanging there on the display shelf the last time I've been to my local Performance Improvements speedshop (one of the largest MSD retailer here in Ontario, Canada) ...ROFL

Is anyone running this with there COP setup yet? I am thinking that I may just ditch the COP if this thing is as good as people make it out to be. I was going to pick up a T1 Hall Effect kit but this does the same thing for half the price.
Who is using this with aftermarket ignitions like the M&W Pro 10, MSD 6a/al/dis, or other?
Who has made the most power on record with this thing?

I just went to install everything and goto plug the wires on and DAMNIT, different style wire ends are needed UGH. Does anyone know if the MSD wire sets they offer will work with this style cap towers?

NM, I figured out you're supposed to modify the spark plug leads witht he proper ends. All good now :D Time to burn a new tune and Tryer out(converted to OBD1 as well)
EDIT: Got the wires all working and started her up. So far so good with a basemap. Time to install my S300 and retune this thing all over again. *sigh* lol

From what I've heard, the coils will be shipping out close to mid Sept and the ignition driver by the end of Sept. I was able to get my hands on the ignition driver but I had to call around, but I couldn't find the dam coil

Could u run a blaster 2 coil and the MSD Pro Billet on a D16y8 and where can u get it, my ing keeps cutting out at high rpm, I'm going throw way to many caps and roters for my taste.
Well so far I'm happy witht he way the MSD dizzy has felt, but I'm very disapointed in it's assembly. One of the cap bolts fell out, and the other noe was loose, letting the cap flop around, Ocne I opened up the cap, there are 2 bolts that hold the rotor down, btoh were completely loose and the rotor was able to wobble around alot. Good thing the contact leads on the cap are long, otherwise I'm sure I would have had a misfire... Gonna add a tiny bit of loctite to the bolts...

Same here, I noticed the bolt for the rotor was a bit too loose as well, but I always have a routine to inspect all nuts and bolts before installing anything pretty much. It's not like you're gonna just pop in and go when installing any thing related to performance (turbos, fuel system stuff, preassembled parts, etc)

i just talked to MSD today and the driver is still on back order till like at least october 10th and they are 207 units in the hole!!!!! i am #43 in line to get one.
Well most people don't know me here. But i'm a dev on pgmfi. Blundar/HrTuning/JohnCui know me pretty well. I start working more and more on honda ecu. I'm to the point which i built my own editor. I have most/more options then hond*t*. Most people that have seen screenshots want to dish Cr*m*.
I did deep research on honda ignition correction. I found a correction which is applied on top of the final ignition. This is rpm based e.g. 0-9000rpm 0-14degree. I really think this is a correction for the stock honda ignition system maybe dwell time delay. Not sure.
How will this be affected by an other Dizzy like msd(with hall-effect) sensor?
I cant beleive honda will add almost 12 degree of advance @ the red line on top of your table+corrected ignition. Doesn't make sense. It has to be for the ignition system it self.
I'm almost certain that Aem Ems doesn't do this. Table ignition in ems is ign output.
I would like the reaction of people here. Guys like Jdogg, Tony1, tony the tiger...

does anyone know the part number for the replacement cap for the msd dizzy, mine is cracked at the little black cap almost all the way down the side.
I have only had mine for 6 months and when i called summit they said tuff luck. Even though there s a 1 year replacement on msd products. And so I called Msd and the man I talked to kept me on hold for 20 min and could not find a part number for a replacement either.
I was looking and come across a VW dizzy that has a similar cap. Does any one know if this will work? http://store.summitracing.com/...-8434

I know there is an ignition correction going on in the background on the honda ecu programs, that appears to be somewhat of an RPM related "comp". JR has a feature to disable it in NepTune and lock the timing to the ignition tables in the software, and it definitely makes a difference. When the timing is locked to the table, and you get the numbers back to where the actual timing was in a log, the power output is the same, so i don't know why the comp is there in the first place, but there's obviously more to it.
I've never used an aftermarket distributor with a honda ecu, as there's no need to. The honda ecu reads the oem dist. signals just fine, there's no benefit in going with the MSD. After market computers are where you'll see the advantage from the hall sensor.
