Default MPG and TIMMING>

Any chance anyone know the ratio of retarded timming and mpg.. Since my car(94 gsr) is about 6 degrees retarded and getting about 200+ miles per tank... I would like to see how much effect the timing has to do with the decrease in gas milage...

well more timing would make it run leaner, but also more dangerous. . .

yea, it will make it run worse just cranking the distributor back. It will not get the maximum work out of the motor. Kinda like cranking it forward, will sometimes make it run better, but to an extent. But the timing for hondas are relatively conservative, because they have to be from factory. Uberdata will cure that problem.

So your saying that a quick drive up to NorCal (40$ in total gas) isn't worth the time to 1. get nice tune and 2. save MPG??

Your thinking is illogical about the tuning.. I thought Seth was in Central/Nor Cal area?

well things aren't that simple...let me know where I can drive to and get it done by a respectable UBERDATA tuner in Norcal> and Seth?? If he can tune Uberdata and lives in the central valley.. let me konw on that too.. I am currently waiting for hondaguyef to tune the car in June... but back to my original question is that how much degree of timming retardation effects mpg..thats all...
