Most effective way to check for boost leak?
is there an effective way to check for leak? I read somewhere that somebody even put together some sort of device for such task. I got a t3/to4e with .50 AR, i can't get pass 1lbs of boost, my vacumm stays from 18-20hmg. Wastgate was also checked, it's fine.

are you sure its not your boost gauge? Its just not reading boost buy your getting it?
Start with your vacuum lines, check and recheck them for pinholes or bad connections.
Start from one side of you piping, take off, put back on, making sure clamps are tight and couplings do not have holes/cuts/leaks in them. Go from one pipe to the next until your done. Make sure you do not have a leak between mani and block and turbo and mani.

it's not my boost gauge b/c i used it and an air compressor to test my wastegate, and it showed at 7psi my wastgate start to open, so i know for sure it's not my gauge.
