well i hooked up the turbo and everything is pretty much working normal, but engine not seeing boost.... I checked the charge pipes and everyone seems tite. ANy other reasons?

 

what do you mean by "not seeing" the boost?
do you mean not boosting?

 

check your vacum lines. triple check your ic piping. is it internal or external wg?

 

have you a boost gauge? Where did you tap?

what do u mean by not seeing boost? you dont feel any power? What kind of fueling do you have?

tapped at FPS for wastegate and boost gauge..... I looked at VAFC and BOost guage and they are not showing boost. Also to get boost do I need to floor it or can I gradually enter into boost? I havent tried flooring it yet...... Iam using 450cc dsm injectors with vafc... 93 octane....

 

u have to get on the gas for it to boost. if u give it steady gas the needle will gradually fall back into vacuum. first check to make sure the gauge is hooked up correctly and that it works properly. then the next thing would be to double check all charge piping at all points to make sure there isn't a small leak or that ur piping didnt pop off while boosting. good luck

FPS? whats that.
And yes you need to floor it to get boost. I can ease in to it all the way to redline and never see boost

yes it spools........ sry im too used to first person shooter..... i meant fpr...

i think my problem was that I was EASING into boost cuz I weanted to make sure I didnt detonate....

 

once u hit 1-2 psi it spools up fast man.. that ring on the tial didnt help?????

 

nope, the turbo was spooling, but I think I just didnt push it hard enough. I tried again today, but i guess the intercooler is leaking....... And also the charge pipe right off of the turbo came apart. I think that was the problem. Still leaking oil like a bitch off 3 places

So did u get it back up and working again. I want to knwo cuz i feel im in your same BOAT right now. My Boost guage is reading no boost but the Turbo is spooling anf Pipes still on
