Default Boost leak?

How can you tell if there is a boost leak, will the boost gauge act funny, or any other sign, my car doesn't feel fast anymore

look at the boost gauge, and if you don't build any boost, you can definately hear it, plus the gauge will not read about 1 psi

If its just a small boost leak, you will have a hard time telling. With a tiny leak you will most likely still hit your normal boost level, but your turbo will have to work harder to do it. A lot of times putting it out of its efficiency range.

Only sure-fire way is to test it. You can build a cap with a check valve for the turbo-side of your charge pipe, and pressurize it with an air compressor. Its not perfect, but you can sometimes hear tiny leaks if your lucky.

When I look at the boost gauge it will hit max boost then drop back down as soon as let off the accelerator, is that normal or is that a sign of a boost leak.
