autometer boost gauge not reading boost????
I just searched and got 2 hits for boost gauge problems...One has the same problem but was made in 2003...I've had my turbo setup for a year now and everything worked great until the past couple weeks my boost gauge stopped reading boost. It reads Vaccum fine but nothing in boost. I tried slowly building boost to see if it kicks up in boost but nothing. I checked my connections and everything is good. I'm clueless, are the gauges that shitty? Why would just my boost part go bad?

uh, maybe your charge pipes came off and you've got a leak somewhere preventing boost from building.

Did you bump it hard or drop it? Dropping them will ruin them. I agree with the above....are you sure you are boosting, perhaps a charge pipe came off?

My wastegate is working fine, the car runs just like it always has. My IC piping is on which I've blown off a billion times so I have that experience...Everything is the same just not seeing th egauge buld boost but I can hear and feel the turbo boosting adn when at WOT the wategate opens.
BTW the gauge was never dropped hit or anything. I did my research before I boosted my car for 5-6 months on this site and read that they have problems if handled wrong..I was very delicate with the install and it hasn't been off my dash since besides me taking it off the mount to check the rear connections.
The only thing I can guess is a faulty gauge but thought I'd check if there was something to do to correct it.

Re: (dan_w_82)
You could try hooking up another boost gauge and see if they get the same readings. Or you could get a voltage from your map sensor and see if that correlates to the reading your getting from your gauge.
