Missing Link??
ive been told that my car goes into that "limp mode" because i dont have the missing link for the map sensor is this true
the car runs great
untill i boost in 3rd and hold it
then it idles real rough
and sometimes shuts down
anyone know if this is correct and if the missing link will solve the problem
and if so where to get one?

Re: Missing Link?? (illestrolla247)
are you getting a cel? how much boost are you pushing, cause if it's more than about 3psi your going to throw a code. and yes, the missing link will stop this from happening. all it does is bleed off enough of the pressure before it hits the map sensor so that your computer never sees the boost. mind you, this has it's own problems with timing and fuel issues.

Re: Missing Link?? (Muckman)
by setting your injectors at the -40% to -35%, you lower your map sensor voltagle below 4 volts. therefore it won't throw a cel. as i said before, doing this causes certain timing and boost under partial throttle problems. but it kicks the **** out of a missing link and a fmu. if your throwing a map code, then my guess is you got something hooked up wrong on the hack.
