Missing Link??

Default Missing Link??

ive been told that my car goes into that "limp mode" because i dont have the missing link for the map sensor is this true

the car runs great

untill i boost in 3rd and hold it

then it idles real rough
and sometimes shuts down

anyone know if this is correct and if the missing link will solve the problem

and if so where to get one?

are you getting a cel? how much boost are you pushing, cause if it's more than about 3psi your going to throw a code. and yes, the missing link will stop this from happening. all it does is bleed off enough of the pressure before it hits the map sensor so that your computer never sees the boost. mind you, this has it's own problems with timing and fuel issues.

well i just hooked up a greddy turbo kit. and im having a simalar problem. but it stalls after giving it throttle.i was told that i didnt need a missing link but now im begining to think that i do 2000 civic ex emanage

yes mine did the same after 2nd gear pull to 6psi, and jotech fixed me up wit a missing link. been runnin good for 3-4 months now.

its a 90 hatch with a d16y8 motor

running the hack for fuel management with dsm 450s

im going to purchase a missing link thats what everryones been telling me to get

if you have the hack hooked up correctly, there is no need to run a missing link.

how so????

and how much for the missing link shipped

and i need the one for the map sensor on the firewall not the manifold

if theres a difference whcih i think ther is

by setting your injectors at the -40% to -35%, you lower your map sensor voltagle below 4 volts. therefore it won't throw a cel. as i said before, doing this causes certain timing and boost under partial throttle problems. but it kicks the **** out of a missing link and a fmu. if your throwing a map code, then my guess is you got something hooked up wrong on the hack.
