I was thinking about getting rid of my a2w intercooler setup and running strictly meth injection. Has anybody tried this. Most builds I see use meth inj. in conjunction with some sort of intercooling. By the way, I have a mr2. It made 557whp at 26#'s of boost with the a2w i/c on 118 octane leaded. I was just curious if anybody on these forums has done this. I'd hate to sell my a2w stuff if the meth injection won't cut it by itself.

 

seriously? I got on this forum because nobody could help on the mr2 forums and meth inj is pretty commonly used on Hondas.

 

With the amount of power you're generating you'd have to be running a serious methanol injection system to keep things cool. At least this is what I gather from what I know about meth injection. In my opinion I don't think it's a good idea to get rid of your air to water intercooler and run only methanol injection.

 

i would use both and ditch the race gas... i make over 600whp on meth and 92 oct pump

 

i made 600 on pump and meth. but no you need the ic. if you did 100% meth and a big nozzle. and it would be vary hard to tune for the meth kit.
