blowzilla turbo need oil restrictor?
It is a journal bearing turbo and alot of people in my class are running BB and i dont know if they use a restrictor or not. what i heard is that you dont need to run a restrictor with this type of turbo. is this true? also im trying to figure out what type of oil line kit i need and what size hose. ive tried already buying 2 line kits and they just dont seem to either fit together or onto the turbo...can anyone please help me out?

Re: blowzilla turbo need oil restrictor?
all the lines i personally used with no problems are -3 feed to the turbo and - 10 as a drain.. anything smaller then -10 i notice people have seal issues with the turbo ..

Re: blowzilla turbo need oil restrictor?
Well ou need an oil inlet flange for the turbo. Function7 is a nice unit and you order it either -3 or -4 an and then order your oil line accordingly.

Depending on the oil pressure your turbo is seeing, yes a journal bearing may need a restrictor in the oil feed line.
Ideally you would want to measure how much pressure your pushing in the feed line and size a restrictor accordingly so you dont starve out the turbo for oil going too small.
Generally though most people use a .065 restrictor for journal bearing units.
