why do you keep going to this guy, when he keeps blowing your motors......

you have your answer, it was the tuner.

and there is nothing wrong with street tuning, as long as you know what your doing

Tell him 3 times isn't just a freak of nature.. Its his fault so tell him to meet you half way rebuilding it. I'm sure he'll offer free tuning but you'd be a moron to take it back to him.

That can go both ways... he tunes no less than 3 cars a week, and most of the time, way more than that. Going by what happened to the OP's car, this tuner blew it up 100% of the time. If he were really THAT bad, he would either gone out of business, been sued, or been killed a long time ago... Now for some reason, this particular car seems to blow up every time they try to make power with it, I agree that there is some consistency to this problem, and someone is at fault, but it doesn't necessarily have to be the tuner. Especially after I saw the JE thread, that looks like assembler error. By the way, I am NOT clearing todd of any wrongdoing, I would really love to see that map.

Got the file, but I'm at work. I'll look at it as soon as I get out of work. I'll post the maps as well.

Please do. Half the people in this thread talking about timing have no idea what they're saying.

where is your car right now? The reason I ask is if the map comes back A-OK, you can always pull off the actual map that was in your ecu at the time it blew up, this way, there would be no way for him to cover his ***...

on this pics i clean the top of the pistons and you can see where i marked it with a sharpie where it predetonated it has a diferent color and it was rough or (PITTED) it look like some got a center punch and a hammer and started hitting it that was a month ago after he tuned it
