hey guys..finished my new set up.

9:5 pistons and forged rods
780 cc inj
2 fuel pumps
meth/water kit
head studs/bolts
precision 6262 bb turbo
ramhorn mani
46mm w/g
70mm throttle body
skunk 2 intake mani
ect......
my last set up was a e-bay turbo kit..now am moving up the power chain..i wana know how much power would the stock head take or make safely before i see valve float or any thing of that sort..
and also what would be the safest rev to carry it to..its set at 8200rpm want to carry it 8700 or 8900
did a search but no luck....

Re: max power stock b18c head
Personally I wont take a stock head past 8200, there is a reason Honda set that redline..... If I had ITR Valve Springs 8500 or so.
All that money in your car and your trying to skimp on your head? If you drop or float a valve your motor will probably be trash.

Re: max power stock b18c head
its not intentionally cheating out...
i have a set of skunk 2 springs on my self but i was gonna go with a Supertech Master Valvetrain Package ...i dont wana mix and match parts/brands
i see stock b series revving to 9000 with no problem..but never on big power application..
but u no what you are correct building a set up that cost 5 grand and skimping on the head thats $600 is plain stupid...
and i want my car revving at 9500rpm so ama do that..
ill either wait until i up grade the valve train or just let it sit at 8200...

Re: max power stock b18c head
i just had a fully sleeved motor fully built head made close to 700hp , have a floated valve at the track after 20 perfect dyno runs my tuner set rev limiter at 9000rpm , honestly im gonna lower my rev limiter to stock (8200) and get smaller cams to prevent this from happening again> take it from me you dont need that high rpm and if your built its not worth it ....
