Default MAP sensor question

i have a d16a6 manifold on a d15b vtec, i'm going turbo in a week. just wondering cuz the stupid guys at the workshop said that the turbo setup wont work (what the hell), i'm going on a stock engine for my setup, whats the size od the map sensor my stock manifold has?!

and whats the safest PSI should i run on the d15b vtec

by ur post i take u have a 88-91 ED chassis

the map sensor is on the firewall and its a 1.7 BAR
wich means it will work up to 11 psi

the D16A6 manifold doesnt have a MAP sensor location on it

yes i have 88 crx, i'm using some kind of a gerret turbo (dont know exactly wich one) but its a big one, i'm using turbo_edit and downloaded a ready rom from thier website, i dont know how much HPs i can get with that setup, thanks man, any tips for going 200hp on a stock engine?!

do not run more than 7 psi
thats the most i will run on any stock (H) motor

i mean, you dont even know what kind of turbo you have

the turbo is garret t28 out of an 1999 eclipse, front mount intercooler and custom piping. on 7 psi how much HPs i could get?!

Hmm...for some reason I was thinking the the Eclipse used a mitsubishi turbo on the 4g63 motors not a garrett. Unless it was installed later on the non-turbo motor.

the 1999 eclipse used a t25, not a t28. You need to do some research because by the way your talking you have no idea what your doing, and when you go blind into a boosted set up, even if your not doing the install, all it does is lead to blown up motors

Hmm..NOT big. On my friend's 99 GS-T it seemed like it would pull through the midrange but lacked high-end power.

hi, i just changed my turbo to a subaru impreza 98 turbo, and i have a mitsubishi frontmount intercooler came out evolution 3, how can i make my map sensor reads boost?!

Why do you want it to read boost? Unless you're on a chipped ECU you're gonna get a cel and be shut down into limp mode.

If you meant how do you PREVENT it from reading boost, you can either buy a Missing Link or run a check valves setup.
