Default Someone please explain the whole map sensor deal...

I searched and searched and since "bar" and "map" dont fit the four letter requirement for search words, I couldnt pin point any old topics on this.

Can someone explain the whole map sensor deal. If i run AEM, hondata, or uberchip I can only run 11.3 psi on stock map?? Whats a 3 bar map sensor? HOw is it hooked up and what kind of problems am I going to run into with it? Lets say I want 13psi with dsm 450s and a uberchip, what map sensor do I need?

Someone please straighten this headache out. Thank you ahead of time!

You pretty much answered your own question. If you want to run anything over 11 psi, get a GM 3 bar map sensor. Many people on the forums are selling them. go to http://www.hondata.com and go to the tech section. It will show you how its installed. Simple.
