Main Relay???? Be more specific... Ignition Relay? What type of clicking... clicking from the relay(doubt u could here that unless you have it up to your ear) or clicking from the starter which is incapable of turning the car over .....

Ok, if you knew anything about a honda or acura, YOUD HAVE to know what a MAIN relay is..

So what i want to know is if the main relay is bad, will the car turn over but not start, or will the car just go CLICK when your trying to start it.. it wont turn over.

If the main relay is 'clicking' good chacne the relay is working.

Obtain a schematic of the relay and give it voltage accordingly to test it(listen for a click when applying volt and ground to the right places).

I have a schematic for a 88-91 crx if you need it.

charge my battery??? Cocky attitude??

First, i apologize to DASHER if i came across as cocky.

Secondly, kiss my ***. I dont have a cocky attitude. AND THE CAR TURNS OVER JUST FINE. it will not start... WHat the HELL does that have to do with the battery. Just cause your a troll here doesnt mean you know everything.

I just want to know if a main relay is bad will the car turn OVER, or will the car just go CLICK..... NOT THE RELAY CLICKING, i mean the car... like click if the battery was dead..

My car turns over.. it just wont start.. It goes NANANNANANANANNANANA... like trying to start the car with the ecu fuse out.. It just turns and turns.... SO, if the main relay is crap willl the car still turn over and over like that, or will the car just go CLICK, like you have a dead battery.

Symptoms of a main relay going bad:

Car doesnt start after is has been running. Or is hard to get started at all. Usually occurs on warmer summertime days--but, if its a bad relay then its a bad relay.
When you turn the key to "on" you dont hear the fuel pump prime.
Apparently a solder joint goes bad in the relay itself...ive heard of people repairing them themselves, but its easier for peace of mind to spend the $56 and buy one from honda.

No prob....
I just thought you were a little vague with your question the first time....

you mean the PGM-FI main relay right? Is the clicking coming from your PGM-FI relay or the engine bay.... You want to perform a continuity test on the relay to test it if you suspect a problem ... Section 11 - 111 , 112, 113 of the helms if you have a 3rd gen teg..

kinda hard to help you to much if you don't even let anyone know what kind of car you drive.... ///

Well gee if it took my encouragement for you to fully explain yourself then it was worth it. I don't think I'm a troll though, but I'm sure many here would agree. Feel free to have your own opinions. I don't care.

I get frustrated easily, and I know if I can have something to relieve it on I can think a lttle more clearly. Year's of drug abuse I guess.
I already PM'ed him explaining I wasn't serious I was just trying to get it out of him so we know what the hell he was talking about. Sorry if I offended him, or anyone else.

If you hear your fuel pump, then most likely the main relay is good.
I say most likely, because the main relay actually has 2 relays in it.
One activates the other. When the 1st one activates, it supplies power to the ECU, injectors, and power to the 2nd relay. The 2nd relay supplies power to the fuel pump. So, most likely the whole relay unit is good if you hear the fuel pump.

Finally a decent answer after all the sword fighting. If the car doesnt crank..check the starter or the battery. A bad relay will still crank but you wont get any fuel, ignition blah blah etc.....
