Default Ls-Vtec + Boost...

I have a friend that has a Ls-Vtec that has stock internals, all bellow 50,000 miles and maintenance kept up. Its a B18B block and a GSR head. He already has 450cc injectors, inline fuel pump, and some sort of fuel management system. He was wondering if he could get away with boostin it @ 6-7 psi with the stock internals for about a year until he is done with building his spare block. I just want to hear your guys opinion.

Tuned, 6-7 psi on stock LS block should be ok. Again... tuned... by a pro, not your daddy.

He has now officially become my idol

He should have no problem with a vafc, hondata, ems or some other tuning device to keep things under control
