Default Ls with boost

Just wanting to see what everyone was running on thier stock LS motors. I am running 6psi right now and want to up the boost, but want to keep it safe. Here is my set up:

Stock freshly built B18b
RC500 injectors
Hondata 2b
MSD ignition
Block guard
2.5 exhaust

Let me know what you think

I'm running 10 psi daily on my Teg, SAFC & MSD BTM..intercooled..etc... I'd be running 12-14 psi If I had a block guard, 550's and a hondata

You can easly double you boost setting safely.
There was a guy on here (i think) that was runing 12psi daily on his ls, and he only had an fmu and fuel pump for fuel deivery.
12psi on a well tuned ls is more then fesable, i would go back to whoever tuned you hondata the first time, crank the boost up and tune it for 10-12 psi daily. That engine can handle it just fine you have the tuning to back it up

Thanks guys, i was just wanting to get some feed back. Because i dont want to make that costly mistake. I am getting around 180 whp at 6 psi. Does this sound about right? I was wondering what every one is getting at around 12 psi? Is it a noticeable difference? Thanks again.

Hmmmm... you guys are making me reconsider sleeving my engine for now. What kind of power are you guys getting with around 8 PSI? I had a compression check done and it came back 215.210.215.210 w/ 48k so I might just boost til it blows and then rebuild

No it is a 5- speed, it was tunned on the conservative side. It is a freshly built motor and they took out alot of timing. I am running like a 11.5 to 12.0 a/f ratio. With a bit more tweeking it should have been pushing around 190whp at 6 psi.

dont turn the boost up above 8psi unless u have a good way of controling timing. I run 11-13psi daily, whatever im in the mood for, .7deg retard per psi and 12:1 a/f. hondata and 550's. turn up the boost man as long as do it on a dyno

I dynoed at 189 at 9psi, I'm auto.... tuned afc hack, could have made more power but I wanted a nice 12.1 fuel ratio throughout.... the guys at the dyno were trying to make me tune it for max power which I could have seen 200whp at 8psi but wasn't interested in the power, was interested in keeping my car so I can drive it to school/work/gf's and back as well as hit up the track every now and again

OK... I am going to boost my LS and then save up for a rebuild instead of rebuilding and saving for a turbo setup. I am all about maximizing fun

OK guys, I ordered a MaxRev kit, an Action Clutch stage 2md, and a lot more stuff... Hopefully it will all be installed and tuned within a few weeks. I'm going to run a Tial @ 6.8 PSI for now, until I get more comfortable with the turbo setup and my EMS. I'm guessing I should put down somewhere around 200-210whp with a T3/T04E 57 trim .63 AR turbo @ ~7 PSI. I can't wait
