boost on stock block

Default boost on stock block

If i were looking to keep a block for only about a season or so how much boost could i run off a t3/t4 on a b18c1 stock block with aem management, full fuel system and ignition if it matters. i was told of people running 18 lbs but i feel he's bs'ing me getting tuned tuesday im gonna try 14-15 if anyone has some advice please reply soon. thank you

from my experience when u **** your block its all at once. not gradual. so 18psi on a stock block will not gradually where it out throughout the season, it will be all at once. personally I wouldn't go past 14 psi on stock internals and thats pushing it even with your good ems and tuning

its all about tuning, and really you should set a hp goal not a psi goal

as 94 gsr said tuning maybe a head gasket in there to. inline made 500 on stock block and internals only lasted amount. you cant use psi as a goal it. different car make different power off boost.

1 bar is certainly possible if tuned very well but it would not have the longevity. You already have a good ecu just make sure you find a very competent AEM tuner.

on on 10psi stock motor and block.. its all in tuning man. and my car isnt tuned...

thanks for the help next winter is internals until then ill try and get mayby 325 keeping it more reasonably boosted.

another ? i have is how is B&m tranny at tuning aem cause bullish blew up my car on afc
