ls/vtec benson block, need some opinions on my setup
well here is my setup ls/vtec
block:
b18a benson block earl
cp 9:1 pistons
eagle h-beams 3/8 bolt
arp head studs
head:
obd1 gsr
stock valves
supertech springs
supertech retainers
stock cams
some mild port work
fuel/ems:
hondata s100/boost
3bar map
pte 880cc
walbro 255lph hp
aem regulator
turbo setup:
drag gen3 mani ported/ wastgate
tial 38mm
greddy profec-b specII
turbonetics t3/t4oe .63 stage three hotside and .54 cold
driveline:
fidanza 8lb flywheel
act stage 4 clutch
braded clutch line
and this is what the block looked like when i took it out of the box verey nice
well i posted this because i have some questions and iam open for any comments on this setup. i would like to know about how much hp i should see from this at some where between 16-22psi? and how high sould i set the rev limiter with my valvetrain upgrades? this is still in the building stage so i can still change things if need be. also i would like to give earl a big for the quality on this block , and to show some felow ht members how nice his work is.

well what is that turbo capable of? because the block can handle more than my goal i would like 450hp to the wheels i just dont know if that turbo can do it or not.

Are you going to use the stock crank pulley? I haven't actually used mine yet, but I have the fluidamper which I am going to use on my built turbo motor, and I plan to rev that as high as I can.

i just have the stock 3 belt one which iam going to use , the bottom end was built by earl so i know every thing is spot on so i dont have anything to worry about, but i would still like to here what people think i will be running hp wise with this setp up. i think i will set the rev limiter to 9500 in my hondata boost cut is set at 24psi

well sounds good because for street use i am only going to run 18 psi and 22-23 psi at the track or when i can get c16 that stuffs pricey

thanks earl, this block is sweet and i will post some numbers when i get to the dyno and to the 1320 my best with my old setup was a 12.9 et with a 2.41 60ft so i know i can do better
