Default Ls/Vtec Turbo ?

Ok I am building a Ls/Vtec with 9.5 to 1 aries pistons. I have the intention to boost this engine. My question is should I have just gone after building a gsr block to boost or is the Ls/Vtec take boost well. And yes I have manley rods and the block is a golden eagle sleeved block. I have a ge girdle. Arp main studs, stock crank. Stock flywheel. Comp stage 4 clutch. Everything at the machine shop. Having the rotating assembly being balanced and crank micro polished. Block is a 84mm bore. Just wondering how these take boost and for how long. Planning on boosting with gt35r on a nuekin manifold with 44mm wastegate and 50mm bov. This build has been going on for almost a year and it is getting close to being finished. Starting to get nervious if everthing will work well. Head is a Gsr with a everything supertech, Valves, Guides, Seals, Retainers, and springs. Any feedback would be appriciated.

thats real close to my setup, different brands but similar specs. Ive got a 35r and tubular manifold. My goal is 500whp. yours will love the boost as well...IMO though which engine doesnt??? The trick to boost is a proper tune. NO EXCEPTIONS!

My question is will it hold up for a long period of time or will it not last long. Tuning will be done by someone very experienced. He has been tuning for a while. I think he uses eCtune. Gonna install engine all motor and boost it after break in.

Your ls block should hold up for a long time on low boost... I ran a Garrett 60-1 turbo on my stock ls for about a year.. drove it about 100 miles everyday on 8 pounds of boost.
