i just installed my new i/c and i took it out for a ride. it was bogging and acting all weird but after i drove it for awhile it started to act normal again. my tps sensor was messed up causing a 2krpm idle that was yesterday. today i i swapped it out for one i had on a b20 throttle body thinking that might corrcet the 2k rpm idle. it did but now the car is idling really rough and just running like *** even tho when i get on it its still boosting fine but lower rpms its backfiring and bogging. i also noticed its running really rich. i can smell gas and its smoking at idle but its not a bad piston ring smoke its burning gas. any ideas on what it might be?

might need to retune the lower part of your RPM tables. Do you have a wide band? What is your timing set at when you are at idle?

i don't have a wideband in the car now just when we tune we put it in.

i don't think its the tune but its a possibility. it seemed to get worse in the past few days. i pulled my plugs and all of them are really really black but it doesnt look like they are getting detonation but they do seem fouled. im gonna throw some new plugs in and see what happens. cant hurt to try the small stuff first

check your tune and datalog to make sure the map sensor and tps sensor are reading correctly. Any cels?

yea its running really rough even at idle but its boosting fine but i did notice some smoke now that its daylight out and i could see better. i am getting a cel i am gonna go check it now and see what its from. my tps sensor was bad before and i never had this problem so i highly doubt thats where the smoking/running rough is coming from because if it idles a little high i dont mind rather than it runnin like total ***.
