Some people make 300whp on stock b18b's, but most people make about 250-270whp. I wouldnt just jump into things, the way your going, your going to have to spend alot of money. I also dont see a b18b making 400whp without alot of work, You should consider a b18c.

Dont go buying stuff without having the motor. You should first get the motor, and put it in the car, that way you can test fit or at least know the measurements of the manifold, turbo and downpipe, etc.

first things first, get the motor and get it in the car, second, if you are sure u want boost, put the kit on a stock motor, Im making 246whp, stock b18b1 10 psi. If you want more later, build it, you can make 400whp on ls, u just gotta build it way strong cuz u need lots of psi for that much. + good headwork, + good drivetrain, + good turbo parts= lotsa $.

400whp isnt that much and can be achieved on a straight ls motor. i would personally go ls/vtec though since a vtec head stock flows better than a built ls head. if your goal is 400whp some rods/pistons and a good tune should get you there. i dunno where your from but jeff evans has tuned quite a few stock sleeved motors making over 400whp. i would say if you got the cash throw some 9:1 pistons in there maybe like .20 over with eagle rods, a stock b16/gsr head and a decent sized turbo and you should see your goal. im gonna build mine over winter for 500whp stock sleeves. then again i can reuse alot of my current turbo parts so ill be saving a good bit of money right off the bat. g/l with your build

yea you can definately just put the turbo kit on the stock motor. i had a motor with 200k miles and had it boosting 10-11 psi, or between 240-260 horsepower and it lasted about a year for me, but that was near 25 to 30k miles

psi doesnt make power... your powerband really depends on the setup and parts you have in the end...

honestly, just toss on an aftermarket intake manifold on there. it will help keep your torque up in the rpm range without you having to take the motor apart
