Default HELP!!! RICH RICH RICH!!!

Ok, ive been boosted about a week, first thoughts.....HOLY **** I LOVE IT!!! no problems really! thanks for your help guys!

a few "Issues" i have run into.....typically i run rich, when i am WOT i am rich (which is good) but i am barely able to idle, it idles at roughly 400 RPMS and drops as low as 270 sometimes. i attribute this to taking 2 degrees of timing out? i think i can solve this by playing with my idle speed adjustment screw.

Next problem....i am backfiring alot, this can only mean i am running super rich (Rally car style) I am going through gas like its NOBODIES business.....and its not from boosting, im just going through it.

thirdly, should my fuel pump always be on? cause its a loud mother ******!

Finally.....i am blowing black smoke out my ***.....thick thick smoke, not blue or grey, all my seals are fine etc, its just rich *** smoke, how can i solve these problems and is what im seeing normal!! please help guys!

Idle problem: You ahve a vacuum leak. What is your idle vacuum?

Rich: How are you adjusting the fuel? I don't know the DRAG kit, so I assume Vortech.

Black smoke is running rich. I bet your catalytic converter is red hot.

Fuel pump: It can be on all the time or be triggered to come on at 0 maifold pressure.

What does your a/f meter say?

check boost gauge - you would like 15- 20Hg of vacuum for good idle, more than that will deliver too much fuel - thinks your car is under load, what is your setup ignition and fuel wise so we can solvethis, number one if not an FMU dependant system turn the pressure down to 36 - 40PSI see if that helps.
