haha i got a fresh obd2 valve cover powder coated midnight electric blue, to lazy to swap it over plus i got no dump tube so its making a mess right now and i dnt wana hav to clean it plus i need to tap the front of it to make the catch can

yea a catch can hella helps... i havent got the can yet so i dumped 2 hoses just under the car..lol hella ghetto... but i wanted to see if it wouls stop smoking....when it is cold out it still smokes i cant figure it out.

maybe u have a small leak, if it wasnt smoking before u turbo'd it it shouldnt be smoking now that u have, people thing turbo kills the motor very false as long as u have a good tune and take proper precautions u r good, also do u hav a filter on your turbo u dnt wana b sucking up sand and grit cuz that could cause glazing in the sidewalls of the sleeves and oil will seep down there and burn....
most likely u have a small leak and its just burning off looking like its smoking maybe an oil pan or something check all your return lines, and i like your catch can idea deffff GHETTO, id run the line real long like to the back of the car almost and zip tie it nice and flush underneath so it didnt ever throm me off like it was a leak,
but i need a catch can more for the release of crank case pressure cuz i aint burnin nothin

Are you running the stock ecu? I just boosted an LS and i need to tune mine. Are you using chrome to tune your stock ecu? Im on a budget like you so i really cant afford to chip mine yet

if you cant afford to get it tuned, then you can't afford a turbo car. sorry but thats how it is, a tune is the least of your issues. you will blow your motor up and need to throw in a new long block seen it done more then once.

yah im on crome a tune if u dnt hav connections is gna run u over 400, i have my boy tune me for 150 and we rent dyno time, and its stock ecu just chipped so u needa get it chipped and running a basemap, i wouldnt b driving that thing around if i were u thats how i blew mine, your timing better b allll the way retarded right now to be safe

it could smoke from that because it is prob dripping on to the block and hot side of the turbo and just burning off and smoking, but it wouldnt be burning off smoke out the exhaust....
also your turbo line, is it threaded, and if so did u teflon tape it, that makes SUCH a huge difference, like night and day, your leak will b gone.
to answer your first question it shouldnt b smoking from what u said from the motor...do u have a catch can to release crank case pressure.
and when its cold outside never heard that....u sure u just arnt seeing more smoke because its cold and the hot air is condensing with the cold air making it apear to b smoke its just condensation go feel it, it should b moist, every car in the cold weather does that.

yea it is hella moist in the exhaust..... in the summer it didnt do that ..well alittle in the morning but now it does it more..it is hella cold out here in reno right now....thanks

efPhilly is joking u need a tune wether on 3 lbs or 50 lbs street tune is decent the bare minimum would b a chipped ecu and a basemap with a boost cut until u get tuned.....if u REALLLLLY cant afford that and u wana turbo it just to get it on....dont boost when u drive not that hard, or let your grandma drive your car
