LS pistons in GSR block
Has anyone run this setup? Right now I have a gsr block/crank that is going to be mated on a B16 head. Instead of using the gsr pistons/rods, can I use LS pistons on the GSR rods to get an even lower compression to boost with(aprrox 9:4:1 vice the 9:8:1 with the GSR's)

Re: LS pistons in GSR block (RAWB)
I am not certain but I believe the problem with that lies with the valve reliefs on the LS pistons. I don't think they are sufficient enough to clear the valves on a vtec head.

I have LS pistons in my 2nd gen B16a. And these guys are right, i had to enlarge the valve releifs. It should net slightly below 9:1 compression.

9.75:1 CR accoridng to the c-speedracing site, I also believe that the LS pistons may not have enough valve relief you would have to clay the motor.

Re: LS pistons in GSR block (Boostfed)
Right on, fellas. Just thought it might be worth a try
9:8 with the GSR's should be alright for now. Thanks.
