Default GSR Pistons In A LS????

Hello, I have been searching everywhere and I cannot seem to find the answer to my question. I hope you guys can help. I am in the proccess of purchasing pistons for my b18b1 that is going to be turbo'd. The pistons that I would like to go with are made by Mahle and happen to only be made for the GSR. Several people speculate that the pistons will be just fine in the ls, others say that the valve reliefs will be different. Do any of you guys know if I will run into any issues with these pistons? In the Arias catalog they list one piston for the b1 block with the b1 head, the gsr head, and the b16head. Thats why I thought that they would work. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks
Ken

I would think they would be fine. The compression ratio will be about .3 less than listed for a gsr.I don't think the valve pockets would be an issue but I have never used that exact piston. It would probably be worth a call to Mahle and ask them.

i say youll be ok also, valve angle differs on both , but gsr pistons have bigger valve pockets and their not so high of compression that clearance would be an issue

Thanks guys, that is exactly what I thught. I especialy didnt think that I would run into any issues after I saw that Arias used the same piston in a b18b1 that they did for the ls/vtec.
