Default Lowering boost via big Intercooler?

I have a 35mm Tial w/ .65 bar spring. I have stock internals and really don't want to boost this much. My fuel setup (s-afc + dsm 450's on stock pump)/90k b18b isn't high class enough for me to have confidence to boost this much for a daily driver. I do however have a relatively big intercooler. Its' the maxrev intercooler (22x8x3 spearco core). I was wondering how much of a psi drop this would drop the boost? If around .5 bar that would be alright. Should I just buy another spring or upgrade the fuel system? These hondata's are getting pretty fancy. sgT is a tuner and lives around me. Looking to boost this winter.

Any ideas welcomed.

I would guess around 1.5psi drop at most. Just line up a bunch of intercoolers.

As far as I know, it doesn't work that way...you may have a pressure drop of 1.5 lbs, but your waistgate still isin't going to open until it see's .65 bar...it will just take you longer to hit full boost.

I could be wrong though.

Buy a lower spring for the tial. They are really cheap. $26 if i remember correctly. Contact Viren (b18bturbo).

Yea but since the wg is before the intercooler you will still have less boost.

yes.
as long as you hook up the wastegate to read vacuum on the turbo before the intercooler, you will have pressure drop after it

Will it really lower like a 1.5 psi? Anybody have a big IC with low boost that experienced this?

.65 bar ~ 9.6 psi
getting down to 8 psi would still be higher than I'd like. I think I should just invest in a spring.

if the intercooler flows better you might increase boost.i went from a very restrictive spearco(drag) to an apexi and the boost went up almost 10 psi!
