Default lots of boost lag

hm... im getting a ton of boost lag. I'm not seeing full spool up until about 5.5k rpms or so... this is with a basic 50 trim .63a/r t3/t4 GSR drag turbo...

any idea why this is happening? I know it should be spooling much faster.

if you dont have a boost controler...put one on. It will keep the spring closed until u hit desired boost. A wastegate opens a little before it hits boost so it can regulate before the spring fully opens. Maybe you have a boost leak as well.....check that out......Mike

yes, I agree, with no EBC, my WG started to open up at 4 psi when the WG spring is set at .45 bar...

with the EBC, the WG stay shut until the desired boost...

With 9:0:1 compression pistons in my car I don't get full boost until 5500rpm.

i have about the same turbo using the wg. it starts to spool at 3k and finishes at 4k. 5.5k is way too high. i am only boosting 5psi but the time it takes to go from 1psi to 5psi is less than a sec. check your lines. where is your wg getting the boost signal from?

i bought mine used. i am guessing it is a stage 3

edit: fitting a 3inch dp to the outlet flange would be near impossible. if that helps
