Default Boost and wastegate help

I've had the turbonetics turbo kit on my gsr for about a year now and have stayed at 7psi. Now I'm ready to turn up the boost after a sleeve install. Do I need to upgrade my wastegate spring to do this? I'm running the t-netics t3/t4 .57trim turbo. What's the max boost that it can handle and what's it's sweet spot where it runs most efficiently? I'm still trying to learn more about raising the boost, any help would be great.

get a mbc. its the cheapest way to raise boost. just know what spring you have in your gate cuz you dont want to boost no more that double that spring. if its a 10lb spring, go no higher than 20lbs.

na you can boost more then doulble your spring rate in your waste gate as long as your wastegate can dump exaust fast enough, when you start makin mad boost then you use both ports top & side for acurate boost control, but if your going to raise the boost then you need a good boost controler, as far as how much you'll be able to boost that depends on your internals, fuel, timing, also as far as the turbos sweet spot try to find a compressor map on your turbo and check out its flow rates, and then you need to find out your motors flow rates at your desirerd engine rpm , plot it out on the map and check out the eficentcie of the turbo you want it to be on the right side of the surge line 70% is average but if it goes to the left side of the surge the turbo not the right pick for your engine
